Excellent work George and a special thanks for using your ingenuity in designing these lights from simple parts. I agree with you in comparing the Belen image to yours. Very much comparable.

What do you think of the resistorless 3v system? Pretty simple, right.

In that last picture it looks like you suffered a California Shaker.

Looks good George. Nothing like a well lit yard.

I remember when I started out with just a few lights and after all was said and done I was even lighting up soda machines LOL. It does add a new dimension to the layout though and if you are going to turn out the lights and run trains that is when the gears start to turn.

BUT...and there is always a 'but'...I am seldom out in THERR RV at night running trains. When its dinner time the rest of the evening is THE Wife time. I havent stayed happily married for 36 years forgetting that. ;)

The only thing really on the table right now is lighting the 'Engine Shop'. I am thinking 2 PICO leds attached under the roof would make that shop come to life...even during the day...:D

Yes, lights in buildings, even in the day, make them pop.

    Naw, resistance is 330 ohms @ 5v.

Yeah, once you light something on your layout, night ops doesn't really work until you light the whole thing.

George, those lights just turned out great! (y)(y)(y) Lighting the shop sounds like a cool next project.

I know I'm late commenting on the finished product and I do appreciate you leaving the lights on until I got here. :D

Went out today to finish up Lucky Penny Yard lights. I made sure they where all vertical and all the same height. I also glued them in so they stayed that way.

They looked pretty good lit up even in the daylight. :D

I worked on them in the afternoon until dusk. I also cleaned up the yard and rerailed cars...
