the two traction wheel bands are obviously very different, darker is thicker and wider in profile and works better

likely different lots of silicone flat o rings from the same factory. the tall profile is an issue though, they sit on the side and thus have different diameter on the inside and outside edges, also this would cause the surface facing the track to have an angle, slacker edge will be thicker.
