The better 'doughnut'

Some folks hail doughnut-style layouts as a great new breakthrough, but of course they've been around since the beginning of the hobby. What many newcomers to design don't realize is that doughnuts have an inside _and_ and outside. When placed against a wall, this can be exploited to provide different visible scenes and hidden staging. Think of it as the _better_ doughnut layout.
