Stone Arched Bridge, Shenandoah Valley Line

Stone Arched Bridge that was part of the Valley Line - Shenandoah Valley Line development between 1862-1882. This Bridge never saw use as the Line from Stanton VA to Salem VA was never completed while most of the grade was cut and bridges built, the tie and rails were never laid. This Bridge can be seen on the right hand side of I-81 heading west just after passing the Exit for Stanton VA.
