      They don't give the driver the protection of some sort of guard rail? Our North American trucks all have guards to keep logs from coming into the cab.

      yea they normally do.Truck had two deck stock crates taken off,so they could do the logs.Dont do alot of it.Core business is carting cattle,deer,sheep.&baleage,hay etc.Piont of interest he now drives an freightliner argosy carting stock,eight wheeler&four axle trailor.
