      Thanks, Darren!

A few notes on the pieces - the first one is a class A locomotive built from a Kato power chassis and one of randgust's 18-tonner kits. DCC is via a DZ123 decoder tucked back in the cab. The "firewood" is made of dried fuchsia twigs Paint is hand-brused acrylic and weathering is with Bragdon powders.

The flatcar is from a kit made by Rich at RSLaserKits (see TB advertiser links). The trucks are MTL archbars and the couplers are body mounted. Paint is a "stain" made of diluted acrylic brew of craft paints.

The saw filer's shack is from a kit also by RSLaserKits. The "stain" is also a diluted acrylic brew of craft paints in two different shades, one for wall and one for the trim. The trucks are MTL logging disconnects. Smoke-jack is from a pack of MTL caboose smoke-jacks.

      That's an incredible train Adam!!

Isn't scratch building/kit bashing an entire train (no matter how short) just the greatest feeling of accomplishment! :D

Any plans to add to it? :)

I love it, and I am going to be doing more of this. I have some log loads on disconnects from MTL. I have already let the factory air out of the cases and I will be weathering the trucks and somehow differentiating the logs from one another. I also have RSLaserKits' MOW caboose kit and a kit for building two skid shacks. I am also working out some ideas for building Oregon-American track speeder No. 11. I have some drawings of it by Lyle Spears (as reprinted in Timber Times #2) and I have identified a couple of power chassis that will work - the wheelbase is slightly longer to scale than the prototype, but I may be able to cut them down or just adjust the looks a bit to make it work visually.

      Thanks for the compliments, Mark!
