Lionel Scout

Uncle Joe's train rides again. My wife's uncle gave me his old train from his childhood. The locomotive (http://www.postwarlionel.com/cgi-bin/postwar?ITEM=6110) was missing most of its mechanism. I found a similar one (http://www.postwarlionel.com/cgi-bin/postwar?ITEM=1101) for sale on Ebay with enough parts to resurrect this one. I had to make a new slot for the E unit lever and modify the mounting. I replaced the smoke unit with the light bulb from the beat up parts donor. I had to totally rebuild the E unit because the one on the locomotive I bought was in pieces. Runs like a champ now.
