Kitbashed Category - Michael Stoner

For your consideration in the "kitbashed" category, I have put together a 4 car set of Impack spine cars. Pictures of these cars were very hard to find. These were modified from a Con Cor "Fuel Foiler" set. * made new articulation joints between the cars and lowered them * made new stirrups and hand railings * added air line to all the cars * made a new brake wheel stand and tilted it * installed Micro Trains #905 Z scale couplers * installed MT roller bering trucks with FVM 28" metal wheels * used Micro Trains hitches * weathered with paint and chalks The paint is stock as well as the road name and number, although they are incorrect. SP never had any of these cars, only SSW. I'm having custom decals made but unfortunetly they won't be done before the deadline for the contest. These cars were bashed for just another "car in the train" for my late 80's era layout, but pressure from a few friends has me entering them here in the contest.
