Headed West (north ) along the Mississippi river west of Savanna, IL

Very nice image, I always wanted to go down to Savanna. I used to live near Charles City, Iowa and often made trips to the river but never went south of Bagley WI.

I love these shots where we see a lot of scenery and a full train.

And it is really that scenic! The view along the river is something to see all seasons of the year. You can get a real time/space jolt on summer evenings when you encounter the paddlewheel river boats cruising by! It hearkens ones thoughts to the time of Mark
Twain in a quieter,slower age!
