Wow ! I don't think I've ever seen this prominence of grass along an obviously active line. Usually it's weeds sprouting up sporadically. Only guess is ballast is shallow enough for the lawn to grow through. But why only within the rails and ties, with little outside them ?.. It looks like Kentucky bluegrass...Could it have been done by someone on purpose; spreading grass seeds here, along the tracks through their town ? Did a hopper spill lawn seeds on the way to Home Depot ?! Am I close at all ? ! ..... M
