      What's the name of this tunnel? D&RGW named their tunnels, DNW&P/D&SL numbered theirs. It isn't Beavertail Tunnel, is it?

      I'm pretty sure that you are correct. I have heard the adjacent I-70 tunnels referred to as the Beavertail Tunnels. Are you aware of a map that list all of the D&RGW tunnel names?

      As insane about tunnels as I am, I am not aware of such a product out on the web.
      That said, there's not many tunnels on the Grande that I haven't either seen in a book, photographed, or otherwise....

      I just did a little searching on the net and the mountain that the tunnel passes through is Beavertail Mountain.
