GP35 CN 4000 - a more photogenic view of my first repaint/detailing job. Used to be a stock Athearn in Southern Pacific garb, bought it used at a train show/sale in Kemptville, Ontario, for $25. Added the antenna on top of the cab, the cab bell, some hoses on the pilot (#26 insulated wire!). Most fun with trains I have had in, well, 30 years... Had to grind out the ribs on the inside of the body to clear the flywheels - the loco didn't run with the body on... Makes me wonder if someone dropped a geep shell on a cab-unit frame?
