GM SD70ACe Demonstrator #73

After all the ACe and M-2 engine I have been doing, this was just a natural as it was one of the first 4 built. Built on one of the new Kato N scale SD70ACe engines. This is marginally a custom project as well as paint because of detail upgrades and a few adjustments I made to bring it a little closer to the prototype. In addition to the eye candy type details, I plugged the dual sand fill hatches and made this a single fill on the roof. the other change was moving the grab ladder on the tail from the left side of the engine to the right side where it belongs on this one. I guess all in all it is the paint which is the show stopper here. Hard to argue this looks great on this engine. I hope I did it some justice. All decals other than warning stickers are made by me on my Alps. Thanks for looking.
