You must have been standing on the overpass. I was there several years ago and made some great videos of the area. Many years ago, late '70's and early '80's I was able to walk into the yards from a vacant lot and take a lot of pictures. I also took some photos of the wrecker before the police asked me to leave. As a stockholder I told them I owned part of the company but that did not seem to pull any weight. I drove out of the yards with the police car following me to the gate. Another time I was able to get into the noth end and watch some switching of cars, even had a engine pulled up right near where I was parked and stop for several minutes. Ah, the good old days.
