Dagget Bridge

This is a bridge west of Chadwick on the BNSF (Old C+I line). My friend Tom is a news paper editor. He got this photo while he was out taking photos of the bridge. (See comment below) Photo by Tom Kocal http://www.prairie-advocate-news.com/

The Daggert Rd. photos were fun. I ventured out that way after the County Board meeting 1/1708, where they briefly discussed the bridges' historical significance. With the snow falling, it was so quiet and peaceful. I walked around the area for about 20 minutes snapping different angles of the old bridge. I was getting ready to leave when I heard a brief honk, probably as the train approached Black Oak Rd. I waited a few minutes and got the shots. It was surprising just how quiet that big old train was in the woods, insulated with snow. If I hadn't heard the whistle, I may not have realized it was coming. Photo and comment by Tom Kocal

I've been to that bridge! Never got a picture though. Great little spot out in the country.
