CSX what if "legacy" engine.

Here we have for your consideration a Dash 9 repaint. I have been rolling through the Borg like super railroads borrowing the idea of Heritage engines from UP and seeing what I can come up with for other brands. This being my offering for CSX. A Chessie "legacy engine". I guess one could pick nits if any RR would do such a project on a used locomotive but why not? CSX has a roster loaded with these engines, most from what I can tell still in need of conversion to the current paint scheme. Money is tight, may not need a new engine but do need to rebuild an existing engine. Why not do the special paint on one of those? Other than that it is all free form thinking and there is no right or wrong. The legacy scheme here borrowed from the EMD painted BL2 of days gone by. Tweaked by me to fit the engine and job at hand. Sort of like UP took real and imagined aspects to come up with their 6 heritage engines. Like it or not? Comment away!

      Thanks!
It is actually v3 on this particular model. Which started life as a Kato UP something or other road number. Then some other person painted it (poorly) as a BNSF wreck repair. Decals were misaligned. The engine was abused as parts were broken and sticky from handling.
I gutted it. Blasted the chassis so I think that part looks nicer than new. Gave it a new motor. New wheels. New shell to fix the parts which were broken. Then finally all the details and paint.
This model has in fact seen as much life as the imagined real engine might have!
