Conrail Super 7 #2033 in N scale

Here is an interesting engine I think. More so that it is N scale. Just rounding up enough information on this engine class was hard as it was an engine not made in large numbers. There is a bit of fudge factor in overall dimensions on this if I am to believe the detailed information I have on the real engine. Overall the model is about 1 scale foot to long and the centers on the trucks are about 1 scale foot to short. This all came about because the closest N scale engine to the Super 7 is a Dash 8-40B. I used that for a starting point and with a lot of spare parts I ended up with a model which is close and does look an awful lot like a Super 7 if you don't get out the slide rule. There are way to many alterations on this to list one by one, but the big changes to the Dash 8-40B would be a set of Blomberg trucks. A shorter Radiator. A sloped roof profile just ahead of the mid section, and lots of rearranged doors and intake vents. I don't expect this will win any awards for accuracy but considering there really is nothing quite like it in N scale this is pretty close and certainly looks like a Super 7. All in all not a terrible effort for something I did based upon information I found on the internet and pictures. Also not bad considering this is my first try at making this engine.
