This shows how to modify the frame rails on a Bachmann SD45 to lower the body. The rails were milled down roughly 1/16 of an inch to lower the shell on the frame. Doing this removed the area normaly used for the truck wipers so that was replaced with phosphor bronze leaf springs similar to a Kato or Atlas loco.
