The Berkshire and Thomas photo's were taken at the Kentucky Railway Museum. I believe the loco is opperational but don't know for sure. They also have what if I remember correctly is an ex L&N Pacific in the shed but it was too dark to take decent photos.
I went by Ky Railway Museum last week. The 2716 needs serious work ($$$$$$) to make it operable. But! The L&N Pacific is operable and will run several weekends this year. Go to kyrail.org for more info.
The 2716 has been outside for several years. She can not operate on KRM tracks due to weight. L & N #152, Rogers Locomotive Works, built 1905 will be working Memorial Day Week end, Fourth of July week end, Labor Day week end and most week ends in Oct. KRM is working to obtain funds to construct a shed to protect the 2716. Several other cars at KRM are in bad shape due to being outside for many years plus the locals have not been kind to the Museum cars. Check it out.
 Sad to know that locals have been a problem. I know how that feels. I was part of a group that had a similar problem. In fact, spent part of an afternoon, pinned down by rifle fire as someone vandalized equipment. No the police didn't catch them. Boxcab E50
