Old Atlas GP9 repower

The new assembled unit with the old Atlas Gp9 shell with a wholly new chassis. Tested and runs great. I need to replace the clear headlights. This took about 4 hours from start to finish, and has given me the courage to repower some other units.

The sill unit with handrails from the original needed to be cut to fit the new chassis.

The old Atlas shell and the new Atlas GP 9 chassis assembled from parts ordered from Atlas. The ends were not quite the right angle, so I used a belt sander to grind the chassis to fit. The chassis is now a tight fit in the shell.

My old Atlas GP9 in pieces. The truck literally disintegrated in my hand.
