8444 enroute to Cheyenne, January 1985

G-g-g-going away shot of 3985. My fingers were exposed to the cold & wind, and had transcended numb into the beginning stages of frostbite. The smoke from 8444 was so thick that back in Silver Lake 3 miles away, folks were asking if there was a fire.
