    I've decided on SP's Saugus Line, but I had created a 16 x 24 plan that could be easily adapted to your space. I don't know if you're using a duck under or accessing via through an attic or basement entry in the middle, but let me know and I'll send a copy for you to look over.

    The basic plan would give you a full Helena yard, and be fairly faithful to the prototype all the way to Blossburg. Lowest level is 42", with an around the room continuous climb to Blossburg, followed by a short drop into staging tucked between Helena and the summit. I designed this with the lowest duck under at 55" (entrance to staging), so even if built in a room of the house you shouldn't have problems accessing the layout. This was my exercise in figuring out how to have a grade at both ends of a layout and not use a helix within the mainline run (there's one from staging back to the lower deck, however).

    The minimum radius is 22", with #10 mainline turnouts. I've also listed all the industries served by the RR at Helena between 1995 and present day. IIRC, there are about 18.

    Thanks for the offer. "N 15x25 Mullan Pass 20080202" was a track plan I developed for GTRail in February 2008 and just recently uploaded to the Track Plan Resource Collection to get a feel for what TrainBoard members need to do to add track plans to the Resource Collection. If you are interested, please feel free to add your plan to the Track Plan Resource Collection. We're still trying to work out naming guidelines, but if you put the scale, dimensions, and a reference to the RR or locale in your title, it will facilitate others' future searches (e.g., N 16x24 Mullan Pass; or N 16x24 SP Saugus Line). Try to fill in as many tags as possible...(at this time, people search the plans mostly by the titles and the tags)...but, at some point in the future, we're hoping we can set up a way to search by all the track plan features listed in the checkboxes.

    Ah, I see, Dave. I should have paid closer attention to the section I was going through. I'm still try to get used to all the new board features. :)

    Yep, they're new features for staff too, so we're all at the base of the learning curve.
