Of course! Great opening line "Not the Doctor you were expecting", and I immediately recognized Karn and the Sisterhood! Brain of Morbius was a fun story to watch.
Mike - we're discussing Doctor Who. This weekend is the 50th anniversary of the show, with a special worldwide simulcast. The Doctor is from the planet Gallifrey, and the symbols on the sign are Gallifreyan writing. He travels in a T.A.R.D.I.S. (Time And Relative Dimensions In Space), which is "bigger on the inside". It has a chameleon circuit, so that, whenever / whereever it materializes, it performs billions of calculations in a couple of nano seconds to determine the most appropriate shape and size to camouflage itself, and then appears as a blue 1950s London police box.
Oakey Doakey Then !! I know of the show but never seen a whole episode. Sign of me being old I would assume. I have traveled through time!!! Mike
Honestly, more 50's-ish, but I figured no real issue with putting them out. A survey crew is a survey crew
My son and daughter-in-law do survey work at a gold mine in Nevada. We got a tour of the whole mine....all electronics and simply amazing and awesome. I bought the WS survey crew as a tribute to them. I also built Stevens Concrete to represent the concrete batch plant my son runs down near Coolidge AZ. Lots of little tidbits here and there on my layout. Even have a super small Yoda in the trees. My daughters fav Star Wars character. ( See if you can spot him in my 'cab ride' video I made...LOL )...
This weekend was the Great Train Expo show at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton CA. Had a good turnout, and the station module received lots of comments, overwhelmingly complimentary. MC Fujiwara always does a video of trains running on the combined layout, and this time, we incorporated video taken with my Looxcie camera for an engineer's POV look at the track. Hope you enjoy http://youtu.be/WLt44abVSW8
Been continuing to work slowly these past few weeks, and made some good progress today. Built up this version of an A&W drive in over the weekend, and last week was working on the Downtown Deco Adams Ave 2 kit. Still have to add signs and details to it. The DD buildings will be dual purpose, both here and on the home JACALAR layout. Will work on sidewalks as the vacation week continues.
Interesting to see the crew at work on your roadway. How many supervisors for the one person actually doing something?
There are two workers with six supervisors. George, I will dig out the name of the kit, and describe the technique tomorrow.
