Ok, the rest of you holdouts, time to make that last 2012 order and help keep TrainBoard running smoothly in 2013 and beyond!!!!!!!
The artwork looks awesome! I agree that this is a SPECIAL car, and with all of the info available to us here on the Trainboard, it ought to reflect that. However, it can only satisfy MOST of us! I would really like to see what was suggested about "Trainboard 2012" someplace unobtrusive and easily removed for the nit-pickers. And yes, I have ordered some, even though my RR is set in the 1920's!! Support this forum, and have a unique car that may see a little railtime around the pike!! The artwork looks awesome! Did I say that already?
I am in and would like to extend the offer to sell the remainders through the shop at no cost to the board. Mike
That is going to look great on my layout... now all I have to do is think of a reason it would be in the middle of New Hampshire servicing a town with only a freight depot and a woolen mill... perhaps I will just use it for through traffic.
That will teach me to log in and read more threads often! Great car choice...always liked the 'Cushion Car' logo. One purchased. Now... do I get another to weather and patch like MI 250395 in 1978?
I have seen a lot of stray rolling stock from the midwest during research for my in-progress layout and a lot of ATSF, UP, etc. I will have to look again and see if I have anything with MOPAC family reporting marks.
Ok folks, Monday morning we are going to give the final nod and then there will be no more possibility for changes. Micro-Trains will run the car and when it is done they will ship to us, we will ship to you. Sometime soon we will choose who will get a free car (there are 10) and announce the winners. So, if you purchase now, you are still in the running for a free car. Thanks again everyone! Charlie
I applaud the change to the as delivered number. Since most photographs I see of the newer number series have patched numbering, it should be fairly simple for people who want a later version to update with a simple patch job. Back dating the original proposed number would have been much more difficult. Thank you.
Am I missing something? Besides the unit number and the class type is there something else that has been changed?
Well, I took the plunge last night and bumped the count to 168. Now I'm 'invested' in this topic more than I expected. Looking forward to it's arrival!
Folks, the final okay has been given so there will be no more changes and the run will go into production on whatever schedule Micro-Trains has going. We will continue to accept orders and update the totals and if any other word is received, we will update you! Thanks again for your support on this project! Charlie
Upon shipment, we will certainly start a thread asking owners to post a picture of the car on their layout. Charlie
