Already know that, but thanks for the reminder. Since baking soda is a salt, it can be corrosive, so I'll be keeping it on the ground and track (this is going on a quickie diorama so no worries about what it'll do to rails or anything). Maybe I'll use some baby powder on the loco for the little highlights to finish it off or something. Anyway, I'll probably wait until we've had some snow so I've got something to shoot this in front of.

Great to hear. You can pick up a pair of umbrella lights for about 30 bucks to help with that, or you can get a pair of clamp-on utility lights (the ones with the tin shrouds) and some "daylight" bulbs (full spectrum) at about 60-100 watts, then aim them at the ceiling on both sides of your shot. Should do wonders for you. Can't wait to see your results. :thumbs_up: Natural light (from the real sun) can't be beat, but bounce light at full spectrum can sure help.
