Lajos, that 0-6-0 comversion kit sounds great! You know how much I love my moguls, I'd be interested in trying a conversion to a coreless motor.
Lajos your products are always amazing, and in a class by themselves! I wish you still produced the Z Thek Shelf units (or that you would do more!). At first I tried to be defensive about the post against Gerard Huet not showing any finished products...but now I am wondering if he did mislead the public...from what I hear - he has not responded to anyone who pre-ordered his items.....
Perhaps he also changed Mail and dont read here for the moment, anyway, here are all new contact data's. If you want to phone him, I think the number is right. Gérard HUET 5, rue des Anciens Combattants BP80 F59175 Templemars (France) Tel/Fax: (33) 03 20 95 10 59 E-Mail: protoscale@wanadoo.fr Web: HUET-TRAINS
Thanks for the information, Armand. Hopefully he will respond but based on what I have heard on this list and off...I think he is just choosing not to answer communications related to pre-orders he took..Thanks for the help!
Hello everybody, Two weeks ago i have pre-ordered my switcher to MR Huet, it will take 6 weeks to made it.So i will have it in November if everything is OK. I read your comments and have decided to write a mail in French to Mr Huet... and have the response a few minutes after. "So the Switcher are ready but the decoder are missing, Mr huet is about to receive them...So i think is not going to be long that some of you receive the first switchers. I hope this can help. Agostino PALPACELLI (eltiti1) Nota: As always i do apologize for my bad english
This is good news. I'm hoping the initial reports are favorable. I'm sure there are more people than me waiting on a good report before I/we put some cash on the table. bh
After months of waiting and pre-paying...nothing...and lack of communication (except for a brief email (a month ago) saying he was waiting on parts.
This is just a pity. There is no reason to ask to be prepayed for such story. Finally, he own money that dont belongs to him. I think anyway with this beheavior he has spoiled all expectations in future customers. Sure, I know some others where an order can take long time, but you pay when it is packed and ready for shipping. And this is OK.
I do agree.... Indeed my self I was wondering about these but it's no way sending a €450/$550 payment and having no stuff and no information:tb-shocked:. Furthermore I'm angry as that behaviour doesn't make the french people shine. Easy for us to give lessons to all the planet and its surrounding afterwards... BTW that bill is worth 3 MTL GP9 or AZL GP7 that would be in my mailbox 10 days after I order them in the US, so as long as a major player doesn't release a RTR switcher I guess I'll continue to do my switching with one of my Geeps, including my GP9 which has yet to be repainted... Dom
Don't worry, members of this forum are never generalizing. Actually, I've noticed many times, they're very patient and tolerant. The most likely cause of Mr Huet's silence, he is working his tail off to re-design a few components of the chassis and get the orders ready. Even the most skilled people can make a small miscalculation, then the whole thing needs to be started over.
Lajos you're right and as a senior craftsman you have of course all proficience here to give us your advice. But I consider what is a $500+ sum and with such a bill to be paid one can expect at least a few informations... Myself as a potential customer I can't afford sending five hundred bucks to the ether and not even know what is happening. As I'm relying on RTR stuff I infortunately don't consider purchasing one of your SW1s but it's for me no way purchasing an item "which may be available in an unforseable future" after I prepaid the whole price. So I'm very happy to perform switching duties with one of my Geeps, such as on many yards or spurs in the prototype, and it will last until MTL or AZL releases a RTR SW1500 or MP15. However I'm not holding my breathe, there are many other items we Z-scalers are missing: affordable prototypical steamers, GE diesels, ALCO diesels, crossings, etc...:tb-wink: Dom
Is there any one person who heard from Mr. Huet in the last 30 days? I believe that if he would just be upfront honest and communicate to those that pre ordered he would preserve his reputation. But as it stands there are many who have concerns
Hi, All, I too am waiting for the switchers, having paid Mr. Huet mid-August when I was told that they were ready to go. Since then I have been told that he was waiting on boxes, then told that there was a problem with the electronics. I have sent another query two days ago, and I will let everyone know when I hear from him. Brian
Brian please keep everyone informed as I think this could be a major hit if it performs as well as it looks in pictures.
