I never got mine and cancelled my order a while back due to how I was treated, even if they are nicely made (not sure since I have not seen one) I felt that the poor customer service, excuses and uncaring attitude of Mr. Huet was not acceptable. Perhaps my experience was unique but it was not a good experience. I hope though that you get yours and you are happy. I would even be happy to be wrong about my opinions...but again - not a good experience at all.
Did you pay a deposit? Did he refund your deposit? I'm sticking to my original order. I agree 100% with everything you wrote. Communications go a long way in customer service. It is disappointing, because I might have ordered a few more.
Hello, No , you're not the only one.I still waiting since October 2010. Since my last message Mr Huet said that i was to wait one more week but 3 weeks later , i still having no news. Eltiti1
Hi again, In my last message i wrote " i WAS to wait " , it is an error i wanted to write " i Have to wait". And , yes i send him a deposit. For the moment in out , but i think when i will be back ,i will made a legal action against him. Cheers Eltiti1
There were lots of problems with the wheels and the mechanical parts and also the DCC decoders. All the problems were then resolved and the switchers are in erection. Due to the very hard work with very small parts and my age (63 years old), I cannot work during long hours on these very small models, so the production is very low. Half of the ordered switchers had been posted (some can be seen on my web pages). The other will be posted as soon as possible.
Mr. Huet! Nice to hear from you! Thank you for posting! And... thank you for letting everyone know that you are well and working on production. Now we all can understand the current situation. It is helpful for all those interested in your products when you post some type of update. We all look forward to your continued production and success.
If you check his website, there is only a few days since last change, 21. september 2014: http://proto87.team.pagesperso-orange.fr/Zscale_1.html
Garth, Do you know what the update was on 5-1-14? I was looking more for has anybody received any product or physically heard from him?
basically he was not taking any new orders and was working slowly to fill the back orders, and there were pictures of CP Rail cow & calf with description of how the engines were built, with two axle drive unit and lead and trailing axles were cosmetic only. as for deliveries I have not seen anyone commenting on any units received.
Other than being quick to ask for my payment many months ago I too have not heard from Gerald. I have emailed him several times in the past few months but with no reply. The latest being just tonight. I regret not reading the forums prior to contacting him. Gerald's actions are quite unusual for the z scale community.
He's still sometimes wandering here and there in french spoken forums and continues to advertize his products. But he's an old lonesome wolf and is an "old fashioned" professional. I guess he spends more time on his workbench than in his computer... Dom
I had contact with him back in August of this year. There have been a few personal issues that took him away from his work in the last year or so. He is no longer accepting orders but is working to fulfill back orders that grew after the article about his switchers. I believe he is working on switcher orders first so I imagine anyone who is waiting for anything else (myself included) will be waiting a while longer. I already have one of his models (N5B) so despite being incredibly anxious to receive the others I have on order, I am willing to wait however long it takes.
I ordered two NW2 and paid in full for them two years ago. I think he should at least reply my emails when I send them. Its just professional courtesy.
Professional courtesy?......seems to be totally lacking in this case. I would find it very hard to trust a manufacturer who refuses to answer inquiries as to 'when'.....especially since he has your money. I would not pay for anything unless it was ready to send. Or maybe a down payment at best at the outset.
