There were a couple of these just different roads. I picked this one since I have two of this set. 4 Kato SP passenger cars $325 (that's over $80 each car): http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-SCALE-KAT...231?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e709f3e3f
Even with a new run coming, enough people are hungry for the Shay, I am wondering if someone will bite at this bait?
I haven't figured out multi-quote (part behind the keyboard error!) so... http://www.ebay.com/itm/BAC24131-N-...355?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e9a3174fb Yes, it comes with both locomotives and Bachmann's DCC system. (Well, assuming it's the whole set being sold.) A well known click and mortar seller has this for $269.99 plus shipping. The eBay listing includes "free shipping" but it's just added to the MSRP of $475.
This person has been trying to sell this set for a long time. Lowered the price from $699.00 to $599.00. When I see dreamers like this I look at their other listings. no other trains listed. Then I look at completed listings. This person sold an old visor back in February. Since then, no bids on any of his overpriced stuff.
Notice it says C7 Excellent conditions .Later it says good, Ya missing pilot and front truck http://www.ebay.com/itm/Con-Cor-Kat...390?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item58c302d76e
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Santa-Fe-lo...536?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cf88764f8 Please read the Description. maybe left some info from previous action? Atlas.narrow gauge, buy now $49 ? It is a Bachmann train set F9
It might just be me but it seems like a lot of the listers who have the ridiculous prices are using the toy train grading system that comes from selling Lionel. If it's old it must be valuable regardless of the scale. I don't recall N scale having a C scale for condition...
What grading system is eBay using? I looked at it years ago, and it seemed to mimic the TCA system closely, if not exactly. If I use the TCA system, that steamer from yesterday is either C3 or C2.
Here's my beef- some guys seem to use ebay as a chance to offload defective steam locos. I buy a lot on Ebay. Latest shameful episodes include a brass steamer listed as a good runner but had split plastic gears- one had been clumsily 'repaired' by applying a soldering iron! Thankfully this was sorted with the help of Spookshow Mark, and a new pair of NWSL gears. Three sellers have sold me a total of five defective steamers. Now I know steamers are delicate- and at least one of these three sellers is prepared to accept a return, but i'm one paranoid Limey with ebay purchases at the moment!
Return Policy: 7 days money back for unopened products, buyer pays return shipping. Prices on this website are generally discounted 10%-20% off our Ebay prices. Ron Boscia
And this is one of the infamous evilbait maroons who split engines and tenders for "separate sale" and "bigger profits".
It used to be policy that a seller could not advertise sales outside of the Bait. At least it seems that way here?
Title now says n gauge..he must read this forum! In item specifics it does say Atlas, and narrow gauge...and if's it really is father's estate, seller may have no clue that "n" gauge does not mean "narrow". However, the description calls the engine from "Era 3 - The Big Four (1923-1947)" But, the F7 was February 1949 and December 1953. Rear coupler gone, too. Better, knuckles, serviced, 1/3 the price: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bachmann-N-...187?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e9d8f06d3
http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-scale-Tra...674?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35e93199e2 Heckuvadeal! One grand, you get one loco, six cars, bunch of track, but the twelve buildings cinch the deal! Get a Challenger...really work it hard with those six cars. Athearn, at full hobby shop price! Then you get to pay two hundred MORE to ship it..but that's only a guess "This will be professional packed and shipped so Shipping cost will be advised after final sale and will be shipped in multiple packages ($200 is only an estimated price as could not add any other way)." How many ways is there to add?
If he paid $34.85 for the MTL Robin Hood Beer car, he got taken. MSRP was $20.20 for the first run and $21.95 for the second run. Also noted that the B&O tank car is the reprint from 2002, not the far scarcer original run from 1981. Shipping is now showing for me at $49.37 instead of $200. There are some laser-cut building kits in the lot, but $1000 is still pretty close to the total of the MSRPs. I'm assuming that's all Kato Unitrack in the foreground... which might actually make it a deal for someone.
