Yeah- another readers digest special... This guy is really nuts!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-Sou...883125?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item3a96f727b5 Wow. Wolf
If you want to have fun, change over to advance search and do "Southern Pacific High Speed" and search for closed auctions. Most people have caught on. The locomotives aren't selling at $1.95. Most of that stuff isn't selling at any price. What I hate to see is the way that one is done, no clear statement about IT DOESN'T RUN. ITS A DUMMY, AND SO ARE YOU IF YOU THINK IT RUNS.
Ah! It's the hidden deal of the century! Read down: " What you are bidding on is a set of N scale locomotives (2) and cars (5). All are Southern Pacific. They come in original boxes, no name brand, but appear to be never used. All have good couplers and are super clean! "
I'd love to see a seller put this in their listing. Then have someone buy it. Yikes. You know it would still happen.
I'm tempted to ask if this collector's set comes from a "smoke-free and pet-free environment" http://www.ebay.com/itm/NSC-SPECIAl-RUN-1-Meat-Packers-40-Stl-Reefer-5-PAK-N-SCALE-/171453838632
The dog in the model train picture may be an improvement over the ebay photos of model cars held against a gap ing cleavage.
Actually $75.00 is probably about right for this set unopened. $175.00 is a bit out of line but if someone really wants them they will pay it. At least they actually are a Micro trains Special run and not another Readers Digest special or a book that is just ridicules. This one is just silly http://www.ebay.com/itm/361025853006?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Nope, I've sen it as low as $368.00 & as high as $800.00 + The last auction ended with the price of $733.00 then he relisted it for around $860.00. I picked up one online for around $15.00 + shipping last month.
