Good way to get to know people....................... Picture of me ( Jim aka "nscalerone" ), and my Grandson ( "Widgit" aka Jayden ) in our matching "844" hats. We got the hats in celebration after chasing "844" for about three years!!............before finally seeing her in action!
Most of the photos I have on my computer are ones that I took so I am not in any of them. I did find this more recent one of my wife and me taken when we were on a train trip last March. I cropped it out of a group shot with all the group we were traveling with.
I had to rummage through some really old stuff and scan them. Some of these were taken before PCs and desktop printer/scanners were even an idea. Here's several through the years. The first two back when I had a waistline. Both of the aircraft and the person in the picture are now museum pieces. Searching in the rubble for my waistline. On occasion I've let my hair down and celebrated my heritage. However knees put a stop to that about 15 years ago.
Okay, here's a pic of me last year while visiting the grandkids in Florida. We have since moved there but I still have allegiance to Oklahoma State.
Well, here's me last winter while I was home on leave from my tour in Saudi Arabia. I don't have any train related pics only because I'm always behind the lens... The plane is my other passion. My son loves to chase trains from about 1,500 feet above the main lines across Kansas. I'm surprised I missed this thread back in 08. Brian
Don't know why I didn't see this one 2 years ago, but it was cool going through all the pages! taken a couple of weeks ago on the ex-Rio Grande at Radium -Mike
I'm 6'1" and the short one in the family (besides our Mom). Craig's, what 6'6"? I'm amazed he crammed himself into the Mooney for a flight back in 2010. (He's a pilot, too, but not flying much) Brian
I have put this picture up before in layout and background discussions, but I have not done anything to feature me (unless I did it and forgot it ages ago.) I with the rollaway/duckunder bridge section I will connect someday if the rest of the layout ever gets far enough along.
Cool! I remember seeing this back in March of 2008 and then when I had a photo to post I couldn’t find it. This is interesting and glad to see it come up again,
Thanks Johnny! and while you are a handsome young man , what locomotive is that you are in , it looks very new. Mike
I’m embarrassed to say that I can’t remember. I was on two locos that day one was a SD70M and the other was a Dash 9. I was on a special tour with my brother-in-law at his work place while I was visiting that part of the country not too long ago. One of the requirements for the tour was that I had to wear all the safety gear. He just happened to have an extra pair of steel toed boots and they provided the NS Hardhat and safety glasses. OK it was the SD70M. I said it right on the photo I guess I need new reading glasses cool:
