BNSF CHTT UP CMO Ztrack Magazine subscriber price is $95.00 per set plus shipping and handling. Those are nice looking cars. Wow, even the "radiant thaw only" decals. Not sure anyone even does that in n-scale!
I got a dozen of the BNSF ones on order too. Now i want to repaint my 3 NS SD70's into BN SD60's, and repaint my dozen NS bethgons into BN or BNSF complimentary schemes!
Cars include blackened metal wheels (these are MTL turnout friendly), AZL couplers, and imitation coal loads. Rob Kluz Rob, Are these wheels available separately and will the new wheels fit the old trucks (on CSX, Conrail, and NS) or do new trucks need to be bought to convert the orignal coal porters so they are MTL friendly. Please advise of pricing on wheels and/or trucks. I have 24 coal porters I need to convert. Thanks, Joe
Will these wheels fit in MTL trucks, and if so, can we purchase hundreds or even thousands of them to replace all our MTL plastic wheels with cool blackened metal wheels?
Believe it was previously said that the wheel sets would not fit in MTL trucks, but I haven't tried. MTL couplers WILL fit into the AZL coupler boxers though.
repainting Rob, NO, Don't Do it! I'll buy the new ones and trade you before you repaint the NS BethGons. Rob's supply of the first run is running low and I want more NS cars. Randy
If you really want the NS, I will be happy to trade you. I have all 12 numbers, but once I seen the BNSF, I had to get them, and now I need some BN SD60's to pull them. Email if you are serious about trade, else they go to the bonestripper for a color change!
I'm serious Robert. I might not be able to go for all 12 at this point, but I'll see if Bryan is interested in anymore. I'll talk with you this weekend about details. Thanks, Randy
PLEASE DON'T STRIP THEM! We'll work something out! I only have four numbers, so I'll need those others........
What is wrong with you people... wanting to strip Horsie's. Now that is just plain wrong... Here is what I know of the trucks. The trucks on the UP, BNSF and CHTT run through MTL turnouts just fine. They are of a slightly different gauge. Also, the plastic on the couplers are a different grade and a little more stiff than the first run. AZL did ship me truck sets to sell, but these are the same ones used on the first run so these are not MTL turnout compatible. But, they are economical. AZL is offering 6 trucks per package with metal wheel-sets, and couplers for $9.99 each. I hope to have online ordering for these very soon. We don't plan on offering just the wheel-sets. Also, I don't know when we will be offering the roller bearing trucks that are used on the current run. But, since we have over 14,000 of the first series of trucks available, it could be a while. Sorry guys. Okay, time to let a cat out of the bag. The first run was done by Ajin and Bowser. The new run is from our new supplier. AZL is making a monumental shift away from Ajin. This process started a while ago. For collectors, the first run of Bethgons is the only sets we will do with Bowser. All new runs will be with our new manufacturer. So, take note. The coal loads for instance on the new run are different. We also are seeing some remarkable printing. It is good! For those of you who have Bethgons, has anyone removed the load? AZL did design these cars so you can run them open. There is some detail in there! Rob
Standard cab SD70's Rob since we are on the subject of Ajin and Bowser. Approximately when will we be seeing the standard or spartan cab SD70's?
Harold, As we mentioned, AZL is making shifts away from Ajin. Because of these changes, are planned releases are a bit in limbo. We had hope to have the standard cabs before Christmas, but this does not appear to be possible. We are likely looking at early Spring for these locos. I am hoping though we can get them sooner. Rob
