He lived in Winslow, AZ and I believe he made runs to Albuquerque, NM. I only have one pic of the caboose, that's how I knew the number.

"Standin' on the corner in Winslow, Arizona.
Such a fine sight to see.
It's a girl my lord, in a flat bed Ford,
Slowing down to take a look at me."

Now back to your regularly schedule Jerry layout update.

Looking at the weather forecast, it looks like it is going to start cooling down some next week. Hopefully, it wont be so hot in the garage and I can get something done.:)

The Coosa Valley N Scalers came over today and we worked on the clubs layout for a few hours. While it got hot later, it was actually comfortable in there....well, more then it has been the last month. :)
I am hoping it stays like this so I can get something done on the ATSF layout soon. :)

Looks like a cool front is coming through your area so you may get your wish. Wish it would come all the way down here, but after you get through enjoying the cool temps there won't be any left for us.....:tb-hissyfit:

Great site! The bridge with the mural is awesome. On one of my visits back to CA I drove my wife to see this, and it is an outstanding painting. Thanks for sharing! :)

    So Jerry -
The ultimate challenge would be recreating that mural in n scale on your layout :).
    Very cool.

Well the club display layout is being disassembled for a show. Work on it is 95% done, except for the steel mill. I said I was commited to the main layout so my part is 'done'...for now anyway. Hopefully I can now find time to get back to my home layout. I've missed working on it! :)

Me too Mike! The 'work sessions' on the club layout became me and one or two other guys working on Saturdays every other weekend, so the progress was not what I had hoped and took twice as long. :(
The club layout looks 100% better and runs great, but hasnt done much for my layout but put a coat of dust and dirt from the work being done even though I said dont sand or cut wood in the garage. (Couldnt be there 100% of the time.) So, I am going to start with a good cleaning up, then back to Franklin Canyon. :)

I agree with the above, it's one of the reasons I joined this place

Jerry, one of the reasons I won't join a club is the fact that a lot of folks talk a big game, but when it comes time to get to work, few of them show up. I too look forward to seeing more progress on your home layout.

I have to agree with the others. I've been waiting quite a while to see more progress on your layout.

    Dave.
