One of my current 20+ re-painting efforts. Sad thing is I'm expecting a new load of 80 cars that will also need to be stripped and repainted.
Since I finished the turf on the Hillside it was time to run a train. I cleaned the glue off the rails and set the signals to green. First up a good old anthracite coal drag.
Air filter box, light packages, sunshades, coupler release bars, weathering, and everything! That took a little time. Nice work!!
Fantastic! Great looking helix! Very clean, and everything. You make your goals fo grade, and radius witht he spiral design? I'm pleased as punch with mine!
Anthony I striped an ABBA FT for the purpose to do the same SSW paint scheme. It is sitting in the closed for over a year but when I saw your great set, I wanted to start working on them right away. What paint did you use to match Microscale yellow since the sheet does not come with the yellow roof section? Here is what I finished over the weekend; The first of 5 SP SD70M. I used undecorated models since I wanted to add as much details as possible; mostly BLMA with some Sunrise Enterprise, including the out of production snow plow. Luckily BLMA introduced their plow at the right moment. This is the first time I added the BLMA fan set, which took more time than everything else combine (including 23 lift rings) but I believe it is worth it. You can even see the circuit board through the grills.
N_S_L - mass producing... sounds like you're going to have your hands full for a while... I didn't do much this weekend in the way of modeling... just ran my trains for a while. Cheers,
I used Badger Model Flex LN Grey and Santa Fe Yellow. The yellow is a tiny bit off just to warn you but it's what the microscale sheet suggested and I didn't feel like buying every bottle of paint out there. it's close enough for me. -Anthony.
