Halleluiah, thou hast seen the light I KNEW you'd come to your senses.....now all you need are two Atlas GP38s or B30-7s on the point, and voila- a Frisco runthrough freight! Look at it this way- at least they aren't yellow & gray......... BTW nice weathering job- I may try that on the Athearn GP35 (in Jenks blue, btw) I'm getting to run with my GP35M and GP38-2. Need at least one furrin runthru train on my layout............
I have one of them, and ran it on a test track- very nice little engines! And DCC compatible, if you're so inclined. Frisco bought 8 of 'em in 1977, and they were used on hotshots and general merchandise freights.
If it's any consolation, I have enough motive power to run Santa Fe, UP, MP and KCS freights as well- locomotives from all these railroads were seen on Frisco. That's why I like looking at pics of your N scale layout- reminds me of the days prior to 1982, say around Sherman, TX or at Tower 55 or in Kansas City.
Really nice model. I'm not sure I would know the difference in a GP49 from a GP50, but it certainly is very nice detailing and weathering.
Nebraska and Western HO scale stock cars on the SAMRA layout. I think this is a private road name; just found these on the layout yesterday.
Great participation this week...This photo is just showing the new M4 Sherman load on the flat car, no tie downs and such yet. I had purchased them for my NScale LCT as a gift for my dad but somehow they made it to the BearCatRR instead.
Maybe you can get him to pay the DOT fine for not having spacer cars between the engines, caboose and those hazardous material tankcars, too!
Once more there are plenty of great pictures,,, here is a couple of pictures from the North Fond Du Lac area on the layout. Also one of the spiral helix I am working on. Well the current layout will cease to exist, as I am tearing down and working on two helices for the new layout. . Adios Wyatt
Looks great, Anthony! I have never seen a set of yellow/grey SSW FTs. Custom painted? What manufacturer?
Great shots everyone !!!!!!!!!!!!! Wyatt,I'm glad to see you bouncing back from your problem last year.
Turned out real nice. As I recall there was quite a dispute about what color the real ones were painted. Dean Hale of Hall Mark and Kachina Press always claimed the gray was more of a Robin's egg blue. Most other folks sided with the Confederate Gray.
