Lisa takes pictures from her seat - - We now reach a village that might be called "Los Pozos" Ed can you help with this identification and Km. Post location?
What I have are the actual station names and mileposts, not all the little flagstops. The next station I show heading uphill past Aguacaliente is "Jesus Cruz" at km 748, then "Temoris" at km 708. But according to a map of the area, the railroad does pass a place called "Los Pozos", and scaling off the map it would appear that it ought to be at around km 760, but don't quote me on it. Ed
I know it was before Km. Post 760 by about 4 minutes of travel time... - - - ^ Passing Km. Post 760
We pass another Flag Stop and then approach "El Descanco" Tunnel (#86) - - - ^ Near Km. Post 754
"El Descanso" ("The Rest", as in a break) is also the name of the next small village past Los Pozos. And you're getting close to crossing the border, leaving the state of Sinaloa and entering Chihuahua. Going to get into the good country pretty soon now. Regards Ed
What time is it... I wonder if HEMI knows what will be coming up next on this topic... :moon: :moon: :moon: :moon:
HEMI has been paying attention - Yes Tunnels and Tunnels and Tunnels and Tunnels and - - - We Start with El Descanco Tunnel (#86) and then right into Tunnel #85. Yes, I'm on the deck and the video is running full steam all the way.
Based on thers I've seeen down here, I'd guess that the 131 m under the tunnel number indicates the bore length in meters (which would be 430 feet).
