Curley's? Betcha the proprietor's head is as smooth as a billiard ball... All-glass walls in Texas? One could probably grow some nice, big tomatoes in there...
That is only his "Work" hat. Professional image and all that. Of course when he leaves work and is out and about town, he dons his Stetson or maybe a sombrero.
Penn Central once owned a subsidiary called Executive Jet Aviation that also lost gobs of money. Its CEO Dick Lassiter gained unwanted publicity when his romance with lovely Miss Linda Vaughn, aka Miss Hurst Golden Shifter came to light. The media had a field day, finding that Lassiter had squired a number of beautiful women to Europe, Nassau and elsewhere in company jets. Vaughn dumped Lassiter and the event became just another chapter in PC's failure.
WHOA, what's the story here?! Sweet Dodge, painted up in Hurst colors, on Vaughn street as well?! The pic looks newer, judging by the cars in the background?
Kramer's Wigwam in Browning, MT was built as a gas station and cafe in 1934. There was an apartment on the second floor.
Just some old dilapidated former Espresso Bar... https://www.google.com/maps/uv?pb=!...=2ahUKEwjpx4PvtJeAAxW1JUQIHcr8CrcQpx96BAhNEA0
Wow, that would be an awesome coffee stand nowadays!! Glad it's still there, and hopefully someone can turn it into something great again!
They had a lot of creativity back then. Cool style. I love the smell of gasoline in the morning! And real coffee, not that fancy-schmancy stuff. Do note that the word "Espresso" ends in "Esso" Rather wake up to that smell than that of gasoline... Also note the neighbor: a fireworks store...
Oh my gosh, that is amazing that it's still there! Much smaller than I figured. That'd be a mighty small apartment. Curved furniture would help.
CLARK SUPER 100 We had one on the corner of Irving Park Road and Wooddale Road, right outside of O'Hare airport, way back in the day.
Wouldn't mind having either the Pontiac Le Mans or that Challenger on the right today! ....or them gas prices!!
Was kind of thinking the same. I'm a Chevy guy through and through but like the looks of today's Challenger way better than a Camaro or Mustang. Sumner
Some of those LeMans cars were an "almost" GTO. They came with a 326 and four speed. I knew a fellow who had one. Looked and ran great.
One of my best friends in college in the late 60's had a GTO and I loved it. He was from a small town in northern Wyoming and came off a sugar beet farm that also grew barley for Coors and ran cows. I went home with him one vacation and worked and I mean worked from 5 in the morning until about 7 at night. Never slept so well, also ate well as they had three 'large' meals a day. We took his jeep up to the mountains one day trout fishing and I told him I could of gotten up there much quicker with my motorcycle. He argued that I couldn't but a few years later got a bike and changed his mind . Sumner
