Raised? Well they are not supposed to be raised, but because of the size of the picture what you are seeing is the paper thickness. Like I was saying earlier, the decals issues are still not resolve, so those CN logo's are laser cut from a sheet of white label paper for testing only, then I've stick them on the side and front to see how white decals would look.

I am working on a GP38. It still needs a lot of work. I basically copy what David F. did with his GP40. It has the correct lenght, so it has the 3 feet extension. This is what I have done so far.

I can't see the photo! I can't even get on to Z Central's website. This is so strange. Why can't I even see a photo posted to this site coming from ZCS? What the hell is going on with my system???

Please send the photo to me! Thanks! sgt_tim1@yahoo.com

    Thanks again!

Perhaps your Antivirus Firewall (Or windows XP's own) has banned the ZCS site some how.
If you have a Firwall try to tourn it off for a while and chech.
If it then work and you have Norton Antivirus just throw straight doen the drain. Thats the worst program ever :(

    It's on all my computers!

I have three computers in my house. this problem has affected all three computers. One has McAfee anti-virus, and the other two have different versions of Norton anti-virus. It's not the anti-virus software or firewalls. Not too long ago I used all computers to go to all my regular websites, no problem till 2 weeks ago. It's something beyond my computers.

    Thanks

John, that looks very good! Can't wait to see it finished. I wonder what paint scheme you'll give it? ;)

Thanks Joe, its going to be in the Dark future color scheme. I didn't like that scheme that much at the beginning, but after painting the slug in that color scheme, I am beginning to really like it.

On my table at the moment is a small rebuild or upgrade on my "NEER" Goose.

Current project (one of many on the workbench, but the one getting the most attention right now) is a major upgrade of a pair of M-T F7As. Number boards opened up, lower headlight plugged, other details sanded off. Next will be removal of the anti-climber and pilot to make way for replacements.

Details on the project are here:

Wown Torsja, I thought it was a static model. How about a picture with a closer look at the goose without the shell.

David, those F7s are beginning to show big improvements. By the way, excellent job on your web site. There is lots of stuff I can use. I always like to use paint as a filler because it flows so well into the cracks.

The front wheels are MTL trucks. The goose is not actually 100% Z-Scale.
I guess it would fit better as an Nn3 model actually. But the overall feel and looks off it go well with my NEER layout. It's like the Marklin Bumble Bee some where in between. Z and Nn3.

The one wheel method works pretty okay as long as it runs a bit fast on the tracks.
I tried with two wheels in the back, but then it got some serious trouble because off the long frame and lost contact all the time. The chassis is from the small red German switcher engine from Marklin.

    Torsja,

I have an idea to improve the electrical pick-up that I know works in HO/N scale. I have a HOn30 Forney (0-4-4) that runs on N gauge track:

What that photo doesn't show because I was in the middle of re-powering it. It has wipers under the ash pan the ride the rails just like a slot car.

Here are a couple pics of the wipers, it came this way from the factory and works pretty good.

They are made out of Phosphor Bronze and are sprung. That is the only trick, getting the pressure just right. These are soldered to a small PC board for easy removal.

Lots of great stuff going on lately...I gotta get my butt in gear!

The Goose has got some decals, weathering and a dull coat.
Some small details are still left like headlights, cowcatcher and similar items. I'm still struggling a bit with the weathering part. It looks okay in RL, but under the Microlense it often is a bit too much.

It looks real good Torsja! Can you also pull a car or 2 with it? I can't wait to see one of your videos of it running, so small and really powered! [IMG]
