    Hey people! How are y’all ?!?!?
    So Had a motor go out on my GP 35 atlas. I was looking for a replacement motor. I can’t find anything.
    Does anyone know of a site that sells the motors or can tell me maybe a different searching option?

    thanks

    There is a ebay seller called sooo-much-stuff that has motors and parts for atlas n scale locomotives. You may check out his ebay store. I know he had one for a atlas n scale gp15-1 and a atlas/kato motor last i looked.

    You guys are the best!

    Sweet, man I wonder if the slow smooth running locos I always see have these motors installed ?!

    Thank you sir !

    I've ran into this got to go find him again and see what he has ! So what is the deal with Atlas Kato motors ? I looked at spooky view website where it has all the info for the specific locomotive. It says that this atlas GP 35 uses a KATO GG1 motor. So This must mean Atlas is using Kato motors right ?! lol Want to get to the nitty gritty on this one!

    I like. What about Rocket Power ?! :ROFLMAO:

    :LOL::LOL:

    Thanks again people !!!

    Haha, I was actually referring to the model/engine - 3 variations on the atlas site - 2 distinct part numbers for the motor.

    Sams, Kato made some locomotives for Atlas some years ago. The RS3, GP35, RS11 and others. You can still find a lot of these out there. When they were being made by Kato in Japan, Kato used their own motors. They done this for Atlas in HO also. The Kato locomotives run great and personally I think some of the finest made. But as with Kato locomotives today they run faster than modern Atlas locomotives or most other N scale manufactures of locomotives. Modern Atlas locomotives have Scale Speed Motors to run at a slower and more prototypical speed (I believe before this they had a Slow Speed Motor and before that a motor that ran fast like a Kato). If you are running DCC you can program them or speed match them to run well together. There are a lot of great people here that know far more about this than I do and hopefully they can correct any error I may have made.
