    Speaking of unseasonable weather, it got up to 64 degrees F. here today. And then, the winds came. No power for over 3 hours.

    Also, here was a confirmed tornado touch down not too far from here; an event which has never happened in Minnesota in December, before.

    Texas & New Orleans # 2, the eastbound Sunset Limited, is about to leave Houston’s Grand Central Station on its way to New Orleans. The steam engine on the adjacent track is the power on the # 26 to Lufkin and Shreveport. The undated photograph was probably taken in about 1953 by Joe R. Thompson.
