Not really sure. Had a friend that worked there at the time but he has since left us and I lost track of that RR.
I don't want to spoil your excellent thread BNSF FAN, but I thought I'd toss in an Alco shot taken in the summer of 1976 or 1977 at Hudson, OH. It was taken the same day as this shot: http://www.trainboard.com/highball/...ype-photos-for-all.81841/page-69#post-1015259
That is a great shot and so is the one in the link. You do bring up a good point here and I should have put this at the beginning that I would encourage anyone who wants to please feel welcome to add shots of Alco's to this thread. The more the better actually!
I thought of this one I also posted here a few years ago. http://www.trainboard.com/highball/...type-photos-for-all.81841/page-35#post-980524 Point353 added that the unit was moved to the East Penn and was in poor condition, but rumors suggested that it might be restored to service on the Allentown & Auburn.
I hadn't heard of it before either. I found that t's in Kutztown, PA (eastern PA) and has 4 miles of track of CNJ and RDG heritage. They appear to run passenger trains on a special occasion basis and offer freight service, though I don't know if any freight is currently handled.
Not sure if I posted this photo before. It's of the Black River & Western's No. 57 again, but this time in a low-rez Kodachrome scan. Taken in Ringoes, NJ in October 1983.
A couple of nice mugs: IMGP10286_MLW_faces by Mike VE2TRV posted Aug 19, 2016 at 7:31 PM MLW C-630M and C-424, both in operating condition, at Exporail.
Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. Circa 2006. Both units are kept in running condition for Merida RR Museum. First unit ALCO C420. 2nd unit EMD567 powered RS3. Dom
Those are some good looking units. I like how that C420 looks in that paint scheme. Thanks for sharing the pics.
