just saw a documentation on tv. main station of zurich (switzerland) sees 3100 trains per day ! that's a train every 28 seconds ! any other station with even more trains per day ?
If I had to guess, chicago, (if a US station even got that high) or a big Asian megalopolis. Wow, that's busy. Amsterdam Centraal had trains coming in every couple of minutes, 18 hours a day. How do the Swiss spell Zurich? Americans tend to anglo-saxonize words like Munich/München, Cologne/Köln, etc.
Hemi, Chicago would be a good choice, although not in 2012. In 1945-55 absolutely, along with combined Grand Central & Penn Stations in New York City, but not today, thanks to Congress' negativity with Amtrak and our society's love of the automobile, roads to everywhere, and Interstates.
I know Swiss railways are phenomenal Sandro, but never realised Zurich was so busy! I have been to Switzerland several times, but not to Zurich. Maybe another holiday there would be good (as we are already living in the Alpine region now)
