One reason I ended up getting the zephyr is because I could use analog power packs as thorttles on their analog jumpers. i must admit, I have not tried this yet.

Anyone out there done it with theirs?

Yes I have. It works pretty well. There are circuits out there where you can built a simple throttle for such purpose for about $10 worth of Radio Shack parts.

The throttle for the analog port (I think) can not be pulse power. Basically you need a smooth DC throttle.

Yes, I have also done this. Works well, but remember that you need "smooth" DC power, so if there is a "pulse power" option on your powerpack, make sure it is "off".
