If you should be in our neighborhood in Drammen, Norway, we will like to invite you to a Z-scale meeting 18. and 19. sept 2010. We will setup our Zmod-modules and build new things and run train the whole weekend. More info will be availble later, but you can already set the date in your diary if you are interested to visit. The city of Drammen is 42 km from Oslo, direct train from Oslo Airport take only 61 minutes. More info can be found here: www.zmod.no
I've been to these meets and they are FUN ! Hans Riddervold was there nearly 3 days working with us last time. I can't make that date this year (ALWAYS in between other European trips but too many weeks difference to stay there). Anyone who can get there will enjoy modeling and running trains with the Zmod group. Their module detail is awesome ! .
I did not get to see the Saguaro River the last two trips However, we are at a new train show this weekend and many had a) not heard of Z, b) had heard about it but never seen it and 1 guy says he has almost 300m of track and hundreds of rolling stock for 10's of years and doesn't know what to do with it. Right. WE DO !!! We ran our usual main-line trains but are now doing more switching operations. ROb Ray joins us tomorrow. 2 more days ! .
Enjoy! Don't forget to keep us updated about the actions and results of this weekend event. I wish I could make it, but things are upside down recently, so my original plan to stop by Drammen on the way to my old country, was cancelled. Best to you guyZ, have fun.
Hi Jeff I've some close up pictures Tomorrow I'll try to post some here. BTW it was a great time again with the ZMOD Guys.
A great show It was a great show for all of us and it was really good for me to meet Jürg for the first time. We had a great time and many good conversations during the weekend. And I guess Jürg will show some of his pictures soon. Here he is in action on my new module, outside in the sun: Yes, a lot of interesting items and plans for new projects. :tb-biggrin: Here is one of the intereseting items I got from Hans this weekend: One of a kind, so far!! Now I only need wait for the 12 reefers to my Challenger. My new caboose, UP 25037, in brass, is really a nice little jewel: You all have something to look forward to.:tb-biggrin:
Yes, thanks to the people that attended the show, and always nice that you take the time to vivit us Jürg. We even got to run on you module and build a bit more on it. We finnish it next year. Some more pictures from the show is here -> http://www.zmod.no/Treff-Moter/Z-Skala-treff-18-19septl2010/TJM-IMAGES/index.htm

Oh I see some things on that table I want to buy !!! Svein-Martin, that is an awesome module. I love that lower level track line to bring depth. Very nice. Jürg, hope to see you Oct 24 or 29. Please let me know if 24-25 is better or 29-20. Need to finalize my travel to Liechtenstein for the mid-week. .
Thank you Jeff for the good words. I hope I soon can finish the module and I will share more pictures showing the progress in the future. It has been good to be "back in business" after severeal years without any modelrailroad activity. And the trip to Medford and you and your place in May helped much to push that activity.
If my hearing was correct from the other side of the room I think I may heard something about December?
