I got an email notifying that these covered hoppers were coming last Sunday morning, from Will Wright's Full Throttle. The email said they would be available in a 2 pack in a week or so. Today I got my email offering the recent customers first shot, so I ordered a BN set and a UP set to start. I can't wait to get my hands on them, and get some more roadnames on my next paycheck. Here is the roadnames from the first offerings: These cars will look great next to Tim's grain elevator! -Robert
I order mine yesterday. I order the Arco, because one of my industries is going to be a plastic plant.
i know this is dumb question, but ... how/where are you guys ordering cars? i went to the uncle will ebay sight, but don't see the cylindrical cars listed? thanks, dave f.
Apparently, Will has not had a chance to take his own pictures yet, and was offering by direct email to recent customers of his, as he only has a limited amount of foam for packaging on hand. He posted that they should be available next week for everyone when the foam to package shows up. Also, they will be available from http://www.zscalemonster.com -Robert
Wow, these cars are BEAUTIFUL! I received our DC Club order from Uncle Will on Tuesday, and they are absolutely wonderful. I am really looking forward to running these at the World's Greatest Hobby Show On Tour next weekend. Amongst our group, we should be able to run a 36 car cylindrical only train. Uncle Will has bestowed upon Z scale a wonderful gift. Please let him know how much you appreciate it, and BUY SOME CYLINDRICALS! Bryan
I bought 2 sets so far, and have 2 more sets coming in a trade for a Fire Lookout Tower, that will be 8 cars total. I'm going to paint one in this scheme: I can't wait for mine! -Robert
Robert, The Life Saver paint scheme is on the modern Cylindrical Hoppers with 4 bays. They are a bit longer than the Cylindrical hoppers that Uncle Will has. You could always cut one bay off of two hopper cars and glue them together!!! Then paint it in the CN Life Saver scheme! Tim
black CP Rail and ATSF are next ... I believe ... I think all the CN and CP 3-bay hoppers will be made sooner or later
These covered hoppers ran great when we were running our long train at the Chantilly, VA WGH show this past weekend. Randy
I just wanted to chime in on this thread as well, and say that these cars not only look great, but they ran like a dream in the middle of our 111 car train. Not a single glitch or derailment that wasn't caused by some imposing human hand(usually my own). I can't wait to see the upcoming paint jobs! Bryan
I recieved my set of AT&SF 51' Cylindrical Hoppers today in the mail. I placed my order early with Uncle Will and recieved it today! It looks just as marvelous as the first run did. Awesome! For you who have pre-ordered, you should be getting your new hoppers in the mail real soon! Tim
We got our club order last week, and this second run of liveries is even prettier than the first. That chromium color on the SP's is really something. I can't wait to run them at the show this weekend! BTW, for the first time, we even got billing on the show website! Check it out >> http://www.greattrainexpo.com/ I wonder what liveries will be next!?
