I've got an idea... (Run for your lives!!!) Hold a monthly banner contest election, every vote is a dollar. There is no limit to the number of votes you can cast, and the winning vote gets the banner with the highest number of votes for a month. Vote early, vote often! (no refunds on losing votes)

No no, not worth that much hassle. And the core of the site is still it's warm and friendly neutral self. Whish is what I see most fo the time anyway.
Though I do enjoy both of the new headers, I have to admit I prefer the photo logo over the herald logo. However, I did find out an interesting bit of trivia about the herald logo. Anyone care to take a guess as to what that special trait might be?
That was my first guess at first, then I saw the UP shield. Not sure what the trait is. At any rate, there's no D&RGW herald, but I'm OK with that.
