I have been reading MR faithfully since 1967. I still have all the issues since I started subscribing. I guess it is just habit for me although I do usually find something useful in each edition. It really made my day the first time I had an article published in their pages in the "Ask the Paint Shop" column. It was kind of generic but showed my N scale work. But that was a long time ago.
Your correct in that they don't have much to offer for the N scale group. Besides product reviews. I subscribed last year because I wanted to get into there online articles and layout plans. And I model both HO and N scale. One year was enough for me and won't be renewing my subscription. To be honest with all of the online forums and the knowledge found places like this needless to say the pictures I find no need anymore to subscribe to any of the Model railroad mags. I don't see how they are making it these days besides the guys that subscribe via habit.
