Boy! I sure goofed that up didn't I Alan. It should have been "Welcome to Train Board. " [ 24. August 2003, 16:40: Message edited by: Telegrapher ]
Which layout are you referring to? I own two, plus, I was a major contributor in the building of another. See this thread for more detail. http://www.trainboard.com/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=9;t=000835 I could explain more here, but I have to go to work to support my RR habit.
Ray- That's a very nice site. Your layout is certainly impressive. By chance do you have a track plan that could be posted? Or did I overlook one on the web page? Boxcab E50
Boxcab E50 Sorry, no track plan. The origional was drawn about 11 years ago, and sat arround for 6 years before i got arround to bilding the layoyt. It no longer resembles the actual layout, and has been changed and changed over and over. It's drawn on large poster paper. I tried to photograph it to post, but one can hardly make it out. Thanks Ray
I needed to vote other also... Gonna be in a room off of the Master Bdrm called a "Retreat". Shared with a computer, but I will get 2 1/4 walls of a 14' 6" X 10'. A week ago I only had 1/2 of the long wall but now I get all of it. So now I'm re-figuring my plan from 1 long leg U to a much longer j. Bear ... of Bear N Trish
The choices didn't exactly match up to my situation so I voted "other". My layout is actually in a spare room on the first floor of our house........ could be a bedroom or den or.... The room is approximately 12' x 15' and my U-shaped layout takes up most of it.
I voted that my layout was in a bedroom. Well actually it is the train room, a room built especially for the layout. However if we ever sell the house or I give up Model RRing it will be used as a den/bedroom/gameroom or whatever.
My two layouts are located in a detached garage that was converted to a train room. N scale is 4x8 and O gauge is 5x16. Doug
My layout is in a loft in an office building of the company where I work. The main point is, I work as an locomotive engineer for Swiss Federal Railways and so I can see the real trains during my hobby time Stefan Railfan`s Homepage
Still working out the details of my N-Scale L&N Chicago Subdivision layout, but I hope to eventually convert my two-car attached garage into my railroad room. Heck, I live in Arizona..who needs to park indoors?! Mike C Phoenix
Great! answer! Hmm, mine is / was there. Now it is almost in my spare bedroom. In a classic landgrab style the Grey and Grandure has pushed my study to a landing between the first and 2nd floor. Oh well, I get more sun this way. LOL that is one heck of a "bump". Nicely done and a great topic.!!
The JJJ&E is in an air conditioned third garage, a must in South Florida. Stay cool and run steam....
Lets see... my "old" one... as in basic lousy trackwork.. is in the back half of my living room... the "new" hollow core door one is...and i hope a certain someone NEVER finds out.. currently residing on my kitchen table... until i find a new home for it.
Power steam guy - Did you add a room unit, or upsize one of the house condensers to put AC in the garage?
