After extending the layout last year the existing curtains had to be replaced because i was unable to match the colour.

Here are a couple of pictures showing the existing curtains and the look of the layout without curtains.

Thanks to my Mother I now have new curtains for the whole layout not too mention an additional 14 metres of spare material for when I extend the layout down the other wall. Mum and Dad came out to my house a couple of weeks ago and measured up the layout for the curtains.

My parents have always been supportive of my layout ever since i was a kid so it's great to be able to have them contribute.

I still need to paint the exposed timber behind the curtains which I hope to do in the next few weeks.

    Here is the finished result.

maybe I should forward this link to my mom [IMG] , I would have to translate it though since she is in Denmark.
Seriously, it's a really nice gesture form your parents (or mom I guess), shows that they care about your work (or maybe she just got tired of the mess UNDER the layout [IMG] , just kidding)

This type of panel is quite easy to produce I dont have an article but if you click on this link it will explain how i produced it

    Control Panel

    Ken,

The grain cars were on special for $1 each from Central coast trains in Calif. They were discontinued models from I think Precision Masters (not sure) and are now sold under Red Caboose.

I bought 60 of them and all I had to do was buy MT trucks.

I am currently measuring and designing and extension of the layout which will add anouther 8 metres (24 feet) of benchwork space.
