We're packing up for a long weekend down in SoCal, so no time for a real post, but I don't want to stop you all.
An empty oil train in the hole next to the small airport along the road where I ride my bike. Probably unloaded at a refinery in Texas City and now waiting to head north on the BNSF Galveston Sub.
Tax time, or would you rather have an appointment here...: IMGP1627A_CN_Dental_Car by Mike VE2TRV posted Mar 31, 2017 at 3:51 AM This is how the traveling dentist got around to the remote communities along the northern lines of the Canadian Northern (later Canadian National) to serve (and terrorize ) the people living in the villages along those lines. This was home and office (fully equipped dental clinic) for the dentist, originally a 12-1 sleeper built by Barney & Smith of Dayton, Ohio back in June of 1913 for Canadian Northern. It was retired by CN in 1980. That's a lot of pulled teeth. My photo, Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario, Smiths Falls, August 2013.
NS still brings coal trains up the Kanawha River Railroads row. This is about 15 miles south of Point Pleasant,WV along the Kanawha River. Curtis
I made a comment under the photo by mistake....;That would make an outstanding scene on a layout. Jim
Still have some Big greeN around here. Saw these guys doing the Miles City local each day I was working in Terry, too!
No, that is just a shadow of a fly-over coming off the bridge over the Kansas River at Santa Fe Junction.
Well hey! I actually caught sight of these up in Carroll yesterday evening. I don't get to see trains often. I could hear them blaring their horns and I got to the best crossing quick. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Got this today, view from a co-contractors front porch! Yes, I am a little jealous! And Transco in Miles City has their own switch loco of obvious heritage!
