Had to make a trip down to Tulare to swap trailers with another driver and on my way back, I found a rest stop on 99 for my break right along side the main line.
I was driving around Cedar Park, just north of Austin yesterday picking up material for working on the SP dining car and found all kinds of stuff going on the rails there. Passed an empty gravel train heading north to Burnet with an old warbonnet and Austin City Metro on the same line about 15 minutes later.
One for 10+ years ago that finds us catching a Gerdau Ameristeel switcher in tow on a northbound CSX freight passing though downtown Cartersville GA. No Covid-19 virus was encountered while posting this pic.
